Its been a while since we last posted to this blog. We've done many activities during this period. First, we officially started our renovation on the 22nd Feb (suppose to be a good day according to him). We went down to take a peek at the place, quite a disaster, there was dust and dirt everywhere..our efforts over the past two weeks were all gone. I just pray that they'll return me nice and clean house after renovation.
Maria (our renovation contractor) hasn't been really helpful afterall, we have to pay $7000 even before anything much was done. But she mentioned its the rule. Stupid rules and regulations again. I hope her brother Joseph comes back soon..at least he is more accomodating. We managed to sell our staircase railing for $50. Not much but better than getting back nothing at all. We spent the $50 on food the next day. I really hope our utilities bill for the new house don't choke up too high.
We went down to JB to try out gowns for the photoshoot on saturday. I took my time to select the gowns..tried on so many gowns that I've already lost count. By the way, forgot to mention we metup with a videographer on friday night...Kevin from Yappies Production, his works is ok but price is reasonable...and he is quite a nice chap, so we've decided to engage his services for our wedding..I was worried that most videographers will jerk up the price for xmas eve. I did some research for photographer that night..and found one "lightedpixels" ...really cool works..his style is to capture the joyous moment at its most natural look. I really liked his style..hope he can agree to take my wedding photos for me.
Anyway, back to the gown selection, I was beginning to regret choosing that Bridal Studio as I find the gowns are really limited and really nothing special...but no choice, already paid deposit..so I tried my best to select some gowns that I like...I ended up with 3 pretty white gowns...really special and nice. And 2 evening gowns...one black and one gold..(I've decided to swap the gold piece after consideration...that one is really translucent.) And one RED chinese costume...not the traditional kua..I'll leave the kua for my wedding day. And one more European style costume. They've decided to give me one extra angel look for my outdoor..I'll prepare my own clothes for it. Will take photos among the greenary...will be real nice I think.
It has been real sweet travelling around Yishun on my bicycle..with dear ferrying me..I am sitting at the back...we managed to find a nice and yummy kambing soup after some disappointment. Watched the movie "Final Destination" on sat..gross show.
Sunday, we went down to Sim Siang Choon to select our toilet accessories for the house. I was quite shocked by the prices for a sunshower set...so many limitations, can't change this, can't change that..and yet so expensive. I wanted to buy two sets originally, but decided we can't afford even one set. But luckily we managed to find a good deal, the shower head I wanted was going at a cheap price...$50 cheaper than original..and only one unit left. We bought that without second thought. Bought some other nice accessories as well...spent $375 in total. We even got a clothes hanger for free cos the salesgirl forgot to add that into the invoice..haha...bonus in disguise. Not a good thing..but we were happy about it cos our budget was really tight. I lost a bit of temper there cos of not enough sleep and the frustration from not enough budget..plus dear was there going against most of my ideas...I just broke out and said, "OK, I give up, I don't want to think anymore. You go ahead and plan." Realising I am really angry, he stopped talking and looked at me. I calmed down after a while and resumed our shopping.Phew..luckily only had to do this once.
