Seems like he did not post about our 2nd v'day as what he said. 14th of Feb arrived after much anticipation. I started planning for this day the week before as this is also his birthday. Dear bought me a set of clothes weeks ago for this special day...knowing he already had plans for valentine, I shifted my birthday surprise for him to the 13th instead. I shall leave it to him to talk about his birthday surprise..
Valentine this year was really special knowing he has plans for the night..(he never really planned anything for me before). Even special days like my birthday was planned by me. He probably thinks that as long as he is around with me on special day and has a present ready for me, that'll be sufficient. But after voicing out my displeasure..am glad he is making the effort to change things. His Valentine programme started exactly at 12 midnight. After sending me home, he gave me a call from downstairs...saying he has left a sunflower and a card at my doorstep..i rushed to the door to collect my first gifts...he told me to look outside the window and there he is, downstairs holding his guitar...funny thing is he even brought a stool along..suppose to be romantic ma, but the whole scene looks comical..(he is wearing shorts and sandles...holding a guitar and sitting on a stool.) I wouldn't be surprise if someone throw him some coins..the most funny part is..a dog started barking loudly the minute he started singing ...his singing must be too awful i guess. Then dear started moving his stool away ..further from the dog. Haha..i almost laughed till i fall off my bed when I see this.
That is how my valentine night begin. He send me to work the next morning...feels nice to hv someone send u to work...wished he could do that everyday..hehe. He came back again at night to pick me up..the car was filled with red and white heart shaped balloons...reminds me of national day. He did not tell me where we're going for dinner...saying its meant to be a secret...but as we headed towards Yishun, my mood dampened...I din wan to spend our V'day at our new house cos we've already spent yesterday there...
Then he drove past Yishun and headed towards Sembawang....along the journey..he presented me with a stalk of rose. We arrived at SAF Yatch Club (where we were having our dinner). For a moment, I thought we're going out to the sea to have our valentine dinner..that'll be so special...anyway he made reservations at the restuarant by the sea. Not a bad place..nice scenary. We ordered a Cheese Lobster set dinner...menu looks good...dishes is ok..but not really satisfying. I rather have crayfish at JB if I had a choice. My presents for the night was one monkey and one turtle figurine..cute.. haha..i had monkey and turtle softoys, keychains...what else?
Dear dedicated the first song of the night to me.. its called "Can't help falling in love". The night was spent with nice sea breeze, romantic love songs ...can't say much for the venue and food though. I was a bit unhappy with dear for mentioning my surname in the dedication...seeing i am unhappy, he presented me my last present which was meant to be a surprise "a SKII gift set"! Wow...costs him $200+. Really feel heartache for him...especially now when we are trying hard to save for our wedding..I jokingly told him he could have bought me a iPod Nano (which was in my wish list) for another $60. From this we concluded, he isn't really good at giving presents and have agreed that he'll give me the money in future and I will buy my own gifts...hehe.
We spent the night at our new house after dinner...and that concludes our memorable 2nd Valentine Day.
