Our LoveStory

Our First Trip Overseas

I am a girl that loves travelling, I want to see the world before I close my eyes for good. So my poor hubby gotto bear with me for my numerous travelling requests. Our first trip was shortly after we were together. We borrowed Dad's car - Hyundai Matrix, and planned to drive along the east coast of malaysia. We didn't have any destination in mind but there is a nice beach resort along the beach which I went before and we wanted to find it again (hopefully). So we went on our first driving trip. Its the first time he drove in Malaysia so he was a bit nervous. We bought enough food for us to survive 3 days..so off we went. We went to Kota Tinggi to visit their waterfall...its the first time I see a natural waterfall..although not as impressive as what I thought, but good enough. We managed to find a fireflies tour and decided to come back that night for the tour. I was very excited about it as I've never seen real fireflies before. Misery of an urban kid eh. Then we drove along the coast again hoping to find a nice resort. We ended up in Mersing (a small fishing village). The residents there told us there is a few beach resorts nearby..so we continued on our journey. After about 2hours drive, we found a cool wooden hut type beach resort. There was another one beside it which looks nicer but the place looks deserted. But anyway we decided on the first one though. Not really cheap..each night costs about RM90+. We booked for two nights which we regretted afterwards. Perhaps it was a off-peak season, the resort din have many guests, we thought we were the only ones until we saw the next hut with a malay family the next morning. We brought mosquito repellent (luckily). Our room door was swamped with all kind of insects at night...we had to spill insect repellent on our door just to keep them away. Sleeping time was greeted by mosquito symphony..weez..weez..We drove to and fro the resort and kota tinggi for our meals for two days. The third day, we set off to drive down to Desaru where we discovered Sunggei Riggit (a small town visited by many Singaporeans for its cheap but not so tasty seafood.) It was a budget but the best trip I ever had...nice quality time with dear dear also.
The major quarrel
Like any other couples, we had our fair share of tears and joy. Quarrels were quite frequent in the early stage of our relationship. He had a bad temper and would sometimes raise his voice on me when we were talking over the phone. Two major quarrels I can remember is, once he was at my place and I was complaining about our boring weekends and how he couldn't give me what I want in terms of feeling. He broke down and cried. I tried to console him but he pushed me away. This made me cry. It was the first time he made me cry. He rushed over to wipe my tears away but I was in shock..and didn't want his comfort. When I calmed down, I told him I needed to think over our relationship again. He cried. We managed to solve this issue after few hours of talk..we knew we both loved each other and just needed to sort certain issues out. I learned that he shouldn't be the only one pressured in this relationship and he promised me he'll make efforts to improve himself.
The second quarrel was over something silly, can't remember what it is even. But I shouted at him over the phone and mentioned breakup. He agreed and hung up. I cried. He didn't call back like he always would...after thinking through, I din want us to end like this the way some of my past relationships ended (the guy just stopped calling). So I took a cab down to his place. Sadly, he din seem really affected..I was already weeping like a baby. When he saw me at the door, he let me in and hug me. This hug melted all the sadness and anger...we both loved each other.
