Fell down today & injured myself. Here is a recap of what happened:

Wanted to cycle to MRT wearing a long skirt today. (I had experiences with wearing skirt & cycling before and as long as I dun cycle too fast, it is safe.) While turning the corner out from the carpark, I used one hand to pull down my skirt to prevent it from flying up. Then suddenly, I lost control and fell flat by the side of the road...my knee & shoulder hit the kerb and luckily my hand landed on the soft grass. Before I could feel pain, the embarressment came first. The van which was passing by me at the point when I fell stopped..but no one came down to offer help..I was thinking...heck~ are they trying to see how hurt I am!! Cars passing by horn me ...dunno if they're mocking at me or trying to ask me to get out of their way...can't they see I am injured??? But anyway, in my sorry state, I stood up and picked up my stuff that have fallen onto the floor..my O2 mini got more scratches to its collections (Good, now I have evidence to remember this day). It was at this point that the feeling of pain came to me...my kneecap was bleeding..can't see the wound clearly...then another part of my ankle is bleeding as well..but that wasn't too painful. I was on the verge of crying and turning back home..but somehow I did not cry..instead I continue riding to the MRT and limped all the way to office. Lesson Learnt: No skirts on bicycle in future.

My Jia-Zhuang

Went Jia-Zhuang shopping with mummy on Saturday. Initially I thought there wouldn't be anything for me cos mummy has stopped working for a while and is quite poor..but when she called and asked me last week when I am free cos she wanna bring me to buy my jewellery, I was surprised. We metup at Toa Payoh (cos that is the place where the cheapest jewelley shops are...SK, TAKA).

Knowing mummy has a tight budget, I decided to go for something cheap...as long as the design is nice will do. I finally found the design I like at CITIGEMS....(the shop where fiona xie advertised for). The original price was S$1900+ ..wow...but knowing they have a promotion, we managed to minus 36% off the price. Hehe...after bargaining for a while...we got a stainless steel ring for free cos the saleslady refused to discount further.

Mummy exceeded her budget cos she knows I love it a lot..this reminds me of the time when she brought me to buy Twinkle...she paid $500 for me...even though she is against the idea of a dog in the first place..but she is willing to pay for it cos she knows I love it. Parents are like that...they may not express their love for you openly but its through their actions that tells...my parents in law love Dear cos he is their son..my mum loves me cos I am her daughter...still feelin a bit pissed about my MIL for stinging on the Si-Dian-Jin which they're suppose to give..they madeup excuses for it. But anyway, I am glad I have my mummy that still dotes on me. She also got me a simple diamond ring at TAKA...hehee...so that my Jia-Zhuang doesn't look so empty. Have yet to collect the ring though so I used my engagement ring to stand-in. This made me realise...even though mummy may be very harsh towards me at times...but deep in her heart, she still loves me...I must remember to treat her better...I must.

Suffering from Laggyness

If there ever was such a word invented..anyway in my dictionary, it means lagging. Whenever I chat with dear, be it MSN, Phone, Face to Face watever, there'll be at least a few minutes delay. After I type a sentence, there'll be 3 - 5mins where I will be staring blankly at the screen waiting for his reply. Of cos there are times when I was smart enough to switch screen and continue with my work...but times when I need a reply from him urgently, often have to resort to asking the same question a few times or even calling him up at his office. Of cos, I'll get brushed away with words like, "Dear, I am busy with work, can I call u back.?"

Sometimes I even had to check my network connection just to make sure that my network is still working fine...asked him for the guestlist last week and demanded for a copy to be sent to me by Monday..which was like 4 days ago..as of today, nothing from him yet. Maybe I should seriously consider sending him a invitation card to our wedding...hmm.

Wanted to go out for lunch today...even thought of doing something I've not done in a while like maybe driving in to JB or cycling at Pulau Ubin...but guess the weather totally ruin it. We can't have lunch at the hawker centre nearby cos its raining heavily...had to settle for pasta at a restaurant downstairs....$10 lunch today. No lunch for following week.

After yesterday's food tasting...I kinda envy Shirley for having such a great friend like Huixin...well, they're both my pals whom I can count on when I am bored or lonely...but it saddens me when I realise I don't really have any best of friends...someone that'll sacrifice almost anything for me...someone that is prepared to dump their bf aside when they know I need a friend..I mean I do have friends that are really loyal...like Jac and Huixin...but sadly to them I might not be their best of friends...not even Irene whom I held so dearly in my heart....to her I am probably just another friend. This made me miss Shuhui even more....missed the times when we will spend every saturday afternoon together by going to the libraries or swimming pool...the times when we tried to visit almost every neighbourhood shopping mall...(that's how I know what Causeway Point looks like)....missed the times when she will demand money from her parents to buy me a birthday gift....sighx, she made me learnt to cherish people when they're still beside you...even though I know I'll get to see her again someday...even though she might be watching me now...it still saddens me that she can't be by my side now. Her birthday is coming soon in 2 mths time...will invite her to my wedding and hope she is happy for me..

Our official door opening ceremony! Dear managed to source out this date from a normal calendar...and seems like this is the only day in months to come. Since it was a rather last minute decision, we only set off to buy the necessary items on the morning itself.

After getting most of the necessary stuff, which includes fruits, rice, cooking oil, red color paper and also a sticker with the word "man" for our rice bucket, we set off from my MIL place to our new house. Now we're the official owners of this house!! Yay~

Lotsa $$$ in our house...more come more come...hee.

Food Tasting Day ~ we invited a total of 10 people for this food tasting..they include our family, Shirley, Huixin, Melissa and James. Overall was good...the portion was filling as promised but just some points to improve on. The table setting is very grand as well...just hopes everything turns out fine on the day itself.

This is where our wedding will be held. Nice isn't it? We spent a bomb..hope the guests will get the hint and give a bigger Ang Pow ;)

We're the only table for food tasting that day...so it looks like we booked the entire hall for dinner. Keke.

The menu

First Dish - Cold Dish Lobster Salad Combination

Yummy..I love this...

2nd Dish - Sharks Fin with Crab Roe...a bit salty but have requested to improve.

3rd Dish - Steam Garoupa...yummy and fresh.

4th Dish - Broccoli with Sea Cucumbers...this dish had the most comment...from presentation to taste...personally I find it too bland..has requested for more sauce to it.

5th Dish - Roast Chicken..only seeing the pics then I realise the chicken is arranged in a Heart Shape. So thoughtful of them...chicken is juicy but a tad too salty..have asked to improve as well.

6th Dish - Stir Fried Prawns with XO Sauce...not suitable for me cos its spicy but most guests find it ok.

7th Dish - Ee-Fu Noodles with Abalone Sauce...this is yummy. Thinking about it makes me hungry.

8th Dish - Mango Pudding in the shape of a fish...symbolises Good Luck. Thumbs up from everyone on this dish..just wished there is more...din have enough.

Pardon me for the yellowish pics....the lightning in the hall is orange and I forgot to use flash...anyway the last pic here is the uniform that the waiters and waitresses will be wearing on that day...classy right? At least its not the conventional white shirt and black pants.

He is the one we tipped as well...patient and excellent service!

On a sidenote, after numerous attempts to trap twinkle in our kitchen with the playpen fence, we decided to surrender...its useless cos she has means to escape no matter how, and it is causing serious damages to my new walls and floors...:( so Monday evening, I decided to make a trip down to IKEA after work to get the child's gate which according to some forumers, it doesn't require any drilling...and true enough, it works perfectly well! Twinkle is now trapped to the place where she is far away from our bed..(no more worries about pee and shit shock on our bed when we come home, no more having to change the bedsheets every 2-3 days.) And we can even use the gate when we have kids next time....managed to get a discount of S$15 for this gate cos I redeemed my Friends points for it...finally something that is worthwhile from cards.

Work wise, my event turns out to be a great disappointment. My only consolation is that I managed to get a fair good number of leads which can contribute to appointments...hehe..and its finally over, no more worrying about lack of attendees..but that is till our next event.

Mixed feelings of shock, happiness & depression

The past few days has been wierd...having nitemare about my wedding on thurs nite. Dreamt that many things went wrong on that day..thankfully its juz a dream...this reminded me to be extra careful and plan out things to the smallest details so that nothing can go wrong..afterall I wanna concentrate on being a meimei bride on my wedding day.

Yesterday dreamt about the silly boss from my ex-co. Haha...guess its coming from my sub-conscious cos I actually quarrelled with her..until she is so pissed, she asked me to go. But this is probably I never dared to talk back at her when I was working there...even the time when she called me after I've left..kinda regret it now. But anyway, again its just a dream.

Recently been receiving many surprising news...more friends getting married, and found back a long lost Primary School friend. I am not sure how we lost contact though..cos I did try to contact her even though we went to different Sec School..but somehow no effort was coming from her part. But this time round, she was the one that msg me on frenster..budden when I tried to ask her out for a short dinner...she mentioned she needs to accompany bf. I guess its those pple that places bf above frens that tend to end up with no friends ba. One thing to be glad is, I still have many friends that even though they're attached, they don't mind letting their bfs or hubby tag alone during our outings..I think even though your loved one is impt, eventually you still need friends to surround you and keep you company when your bf and hubby is busy. Let's see how things go with this found back friendship ba.

As for dear..he has been busy lately and always came home late...but I was touched when he offered to take the MRT with me...which means a longer journey for him to office. This weekend will be lonely as dear has other commitments, a company chalet and a colleague wedding to go to...hope I can find some friends to keep me company. Dear bought me some funny shaped rambutan yesterday...real sweet..but looks wierd..hehe...I realised he alway buys me fruits when he comes home...really treats me like a monkee eh.

In a so-so happy mood today...Twinkle did not poo or pee on our bed~ Managed to score point with my boss when I managed to send in the debrief for a workshop I attended last week...he gave a rather positive response. Budden a sentence at the end of the paragraph stunned me!!

"I will like you to come up with some ideas, changes, action plans etc. high level is sufficient on what we can do with the target of 20 accounts per year.
Roughly this means at 20% closure rate, 100 warm leads per year (25 per Q, 8.3 per month, 2.08 per week?) – sounds like we are not very far from this number?" !!!

Oh no...looks like I am going to be very stressed for a while...at least until my event is over. Was kinda pissed yesterday by the other lady from our partner...unreasonable and too demanding. Luckily my boss is supportive and we managed to have a "solution" to deal with her. Hehe. Gotto work hard to get some appts today...letme see, so far I have 19 appts for the 4mths I've been here...so its 4.75 per mth..which is abt 1 appt per week...I am suppose to increase it to 2 appts per week! OMG!!

Wedding wise, we have ordered our red & white wines....will be going for food tasting on the 14th Sep 2006...the guests I am inviting for the food tasting will be, Me, Dear, Mummy, MIL, FIL, Uncle, Melissa, Shirley, Huixin and Kiwi (Although he is not really welcomed, but no choice cos we can't locate Guoqiang, he will most prob be the standby emcee). Now my biggest worry is the projector setup...wonder who can help.

Our house is becoming prettier day by day...hehe, got an idea yesterday, need to buy some scrubs for display purposes...prob will buy this weekend. Hehe..

Twinkle shitted on my bed yesterday!!

I returned home after a major quarrel with dear..and wanted to get some rest. Then my hand touched something sticky...I turned and to my shock, I saw SHIT!!! It stained my bedsheets and some on my shirt. Argghh..this is the first time it happened, Twinkle normally do her business in the toilet. Thus explains my shock. I gave Twinkle a good beating...no, I din bash her..just slap her backside and scolded her real loudly.

Dear came into the room and saw what has happened and we both ignored Twinkle. Had to throw away 2 of my bolsters cos they have the smell. Dear offered me his bolster cos he knows I wouldn't be able to sleep without one. We changed all the bedsheets and pillow case..in an effort to comfort myself, I think this must be Twinkle's way of reminding me to change our bedsheets. I guess she must be feeling pissed that we din spend much time playing with her the night before..or probably she is angry with me for being harsh while cleaning her ears. I heard that dogs sometimes do this as an action of revenge. But anyway, she got her due punishment and I did some precaution measures this morning...hope no shock tonight.
